    Job Description: 
    The Halifax County Treasurer's Office is looking for a qualified individual to fill a full-time Deputy Treasurer position within the office.  
    -Qualified applicants should possess a high school diploma, experience in an office setting, and driver's license valid in the -Commonwealth of Virginia.  
    -General knowledge of the methods and practices of accounting; general knowledge of modern business management and office practices; experience handling money and assisting customers.  
    -Experience and ability to operate standard office; understand and follow oral and written instructions; establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the general public.  
    -Applicants should have extensive computer skills and abilities.  
    -Applicants should be proficient in the use of a computer, software, and other computer applications.

    A criminal background check and pre-employment including drug testing is required.  Salary dependent upon qualifications and experience.
