From Resistance to Resilience: Black Virginia's Path to Freedom
ABOUT THE EVENT
Join friends and family for the first of two days of programs honoring the history of Brookneal’s Black communities from 1794 to 1944. This event, in partnership with the Robert Russa Moton Museum, will take place at Red Hill on Saturday, April 6 from 10:00 am–4:00 pm.
For convenience, a free shuttle bus will depart from the Moton Museum to Red Hill at 9:00 am. Please indicate if you or your group would like to ride this bus when reserving your tickets.
Join the Moton Museum for a continuation of From Resistance to Resilience honoring Farmville’s student civil rights activists from 1945–1970. Programs will be held the following week on Saturday, April 13 from 10:00 am–4:00 pm. More information and registration for this event can be found at www.redhill.org/event
