Annual Meeting and Awards Celebration
Network with other business professionals at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting and Celebration. Typically over 350 people attend this annual event in March to celebrate the Chamber’s accomplishments of the past year and vision for the upcoming year.

Our Annual Chamber Fall Classic Golf Tournament provides an excellent opportunity to entertain clients and offers an invigorating day of business networking, socializing, and fun. The tournament will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024.

Virginia Cantaloupe Festival
The Virginia Cantaloupe Festival is held each year on the 4th Friday in July. This sell-out event draws close to 2,000 people from all across the region to Halifax County. Business and the community gather together to celebrate all that our area has to offer. The festival is a true celebration of what Halifax County has to offer, featuring locally grown vegetables, and of course, cantaloupe. With major media sponsors, the festival is guaranteed maximum exposure. While preserving tradition and history, the Virginia Cantaloupe Festival strives to stimulate the local economy, entertain, and involve the community and visitors in a fun-filled atmosphere.

Leadership Halifax County
Leadership Halifax County is an exciting program sponsored by the Halifax County Chamber of Commerce to develop leadership skills of individuals within the community. Whether you have past experience in community affairs or are just becoming active, this program will challenge you to think about the future and change the way you deal with the present.
Since 1989, the Chamber has graduated more than 300 individuals from the program. They are now challenging themselves, serving their employers and our community in active community-building efforts. You, too, can be a part of this dedicated, dynamic, and successful group of leaders.
The program includes nine Leadership Day Sessions that offer focused leadership training, exciting behind-the-scenes tours, and engaging conversations with local leaders. Focus areas include agriculture, business, entrepreneurship, education, government, health and human services, manufacturing, recreation, and tourism. Leadership topics include self-awareness, leading in a changing world, effective communication, dealing with crises, delivering feedback, team building, and decision making.
